PLEASE PRAY THE ROSARY AND WEAR THE BROWN SCAPULAR DAILY PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH OVER 1900 YEARS OLD St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Diving Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when Idraw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen. BOMBING OF CHINESE EMBASSY -- "DRAMA WITHIN DRAMA" Vatican Spokesman Says U.S. Media Has Silenced Pope BUCHAREST, MAY 9 (ZENIT).- From Bucharest, John Paul II has followed the dramatic events which have increased the tension in Yugoslavia. Papal spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls said that the NATO bombs which struck the Chinese embassy in Belgrade "are a drama within a drama." "It confirms warnings that the path of military mechanisms leads nowhere. Moreover, what is the meaning of the logic which pursues total victory? Destruction of the country?" In an editorial published on May 8 in the 'New York Times,'Navarro-Valls said the Vatican "is not neutral, it does not support one side, nor is it anti-American." What it seeks is to exert pressure to substitute arms with dialogue. The Holy See is convinced that "sooner or later the Serbs, the people of Kosovo and NATO will meet around the negotiating table." So, Navarro-Valls asks, "why not meet sooner, rather than later, before destruction and death increase hatred and destroy reciprocal confidence?" The Vatican's peace initiative "to which the U.S. media have given very little coverage," has as its objective to put an end to sufferings, massacres, and destruction, as well as to encourage the beginning of a new negotiation which will guarantee a just solution" to the conflict, Navarro-Valls said.
